Trudie Westen lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Paints and draws all her life. Writes since she was eleven. Was educated at the Rietveld Academy; industrial design, but preferred to make autonomous art. Left the Academy after a little over three years. Earned a master degree in sociology at the University of Amsterdam. Is also consultant and interim manager in the educational field.
